Nairobi Language Practitioners from across the globe will gather in Kigali, Rwanda for a 2-day conference that will offer learning, networking and tour activities. Kigali, the capital City of Rwanda, also known as the land of a thousand Hills, is located in the central part of Rwanda, making it the country’s geographic and administrative center. The city is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,567 meters (5,141 feet) above sea level, which gives it a temperate climate.

Kigali was declared the cleanest City in Africa by UN-Habitat in 2008, thanks to the practice of ‘Umuganda’ (community service) where everyone pitches in keeping the city clean. Kigali is also the safest city in Africa which is a result of a combination of strict law enforcement, community initiatives, and government policies.

Other than offering a picturesque landscape surrounded by rolling hills and lush countryside for outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, and exploring nearby natural attractions, Kigali also offers some major attractions as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which serves as a place for learning history, remembering and reconciling.
